I don’t know if you have watched it yet, but Romewas an awesome mini-series. It kept both my husband and I enthralled. Good knitting time too.

Mad Men is awesome. They just had the Season 3 finale last night. I love that show.

I’d say any costume drama produced by the BBC – The Buccaneers is interesting – American daughters brought over to England in the mid/late 1800s to find titled British husbands; the Jane Austen movies; North & South (not the US civil war, the British one based on Elizabeth Gaskell’s novel). I could go on and on. I have many of these in my dvd collection and I love knitting to them.

We really enjoyed LOST, and if you’re into Scottish-type stuff, Hamish Macbeth (avail on Amazon) was lots and lots of fun. Also, if you like the Tudors, have you checked out Rome?

Hi Judy,

LOST is really fun to get hooked into. You can borrow the dvd’s for seasons 1 to 5 from the library. Or if you’re into watching on your computer, or have a computer- tv feed, you can get the same through a sharing website like utorrent. I wastched all of season 5 on utorrent. If you hurry you can watch them all in time for this season’s premiere, whenever that is.

Barbara Walters swears by Mad Men. If you have ShawVOD there are some episodes available free right now. This is another one you can get from utorent.

I like Medium and Desperate Housewives too.

Oh, find “State of Play,” the original BBC series. Awesomeness! I also love “Hustle” and “Spooks,” both BBC series in multiple series so many many hours of happy knitting!
